| Adopt a Badger |
£26.95 |
 |
| Adopt a Badger through Care for the Wild International and they will use your valuable support to help with the rehabilitation and care of orphaned animals as well as providing funds for the conservation of that species in the wild. \n\nCare for the Wild International have been established for over 20 years. They promote the conservation and welfare of wildlife in Britain and abroad, particularly Africa and Asia. \n\nHere is the story of Badgers that need help in the UK\n\nBadgers are probably one of the best-loved British mammals. They are shy nocturnal animals which share our countryside, although many of us have never even seen one. Sadly, our ever increasing need for housing and transport constantly threatens their habitat and ultimately their lives.\n \nThousands are killed every year on our roads. Others fall victim to cruel badger baiters and now the government are killing thousands more as part of an experiment investigating the causes of TB in cattle. Whatever the persecution, when mothers are killed, their defenceless cubs are left with little hope of survival. That is unless they are taken into the expert care of Pauline Kidner at the Secret World sanctuary in Somerset. Pauline raises countless orphaned cubs every year. Bottle feeding them, even through the night, weaning them onto solids, ensuring they get veterinary care when needed and giving them all the love and attention they require until they are ready to return to the wild.\n\nPack Details:\n\nA personalised adoption certificate with a picture of the badgers \nT-shirt \nCuddly toy \nA badger fact sheet \nA window sticker \nAn update after six months. |

£19.95 |
 |
| Adopt an Elephant and help Care for the Wild International with the rehabilitation and care of orphaned animals as well as providing funds for the conservation of that species in the wild. Care for the Wild International have been established for over 20 years. They promote the conservation and welfare of wildlife in Britain and abroad, particularly Africa and Asia. \n\nHere is the Story of Burra the elephant \n\nBurra was born in June 2000. At 8 months old he was found trapped by a snare. The steel cable around his neck had almost cut one ear in half. Luckily rangers removed the snare and Burra was taken to the stockades in Tsavo East National Park to receive veterinary care. His keepers were worried that he would be unable to swallow milk as his throat had been so badly constricted. However, after several hours' persuasion, Burra managed to feed. Burra has now recovered and lives with the older orphans in Tsavo National Park. He has a very calm temperament, often discouraging fights between the other elephants. \n\nThe pack includes: \n\nA personalised adoption certificate with a colour picture of your orphan. \nAn adoption window sticker. \nAn update after six months. \nCar sticker. \nCuddly Elephant toy. |
