| Board this 36ft ocean going yacht for an evening of sailing in the Solent. The experience is perfect for brushing up your sailing skills or for the first time sailor looking to experience the magic of yachting. Your skipper will introduce you to the basics and then you will sail for the rest of the evening taking turns behind the wheel with the other participants. This is a great way to enjoy this wonderful sport! \n\nItinerary:\n\nAfter a safety briefing your RYA Yachtsmaster skipper will introduce you to the basics of sailing. Then it 's hands-on sailing for the rest of the evening with everyone taking turns behind the wheel, steering the boat out into the Solent and Southampton Water. You will be able to improve your sailing skills or just sit back and relax in the well protected cockpit. All refreshments afloat are included. The experience lasts from 5:30pm to approximately 07:30pm \n\nLocation:\n\nDeparts Hamble, Hampshire (South).\n\nKey information: \n\nYour voucher is valid for ten months, for ONE person. \nYou are free to contact the centre to arrange a day for your experience. \nThis experience is available selected Tuesdays and Saturday evenings during the season (1st May - 31st August) and all bookings are subject to availability. \nSailing may be cancelled or curtailed in severe weather conditions. \nIf in any doubt please call the centre before departing for your experience. \nThere will be a maximum of seven people on board plus the skipper. \nSpectators are welcome to wave you off from the Marina, but will not be able to join you on board. \nPlease dress warmly and casually with extra layers. \nAll safety equipment is provided for you. \nMinimum age is 16, maximum weight 20 Stone. \nNo previous sailing experience is required and non-swimmers are welcome. | ||

| Designed for those with little to no previous sailing experience, this action packed day out in the beautiful Solent is perfect for beginners. Everyone on-board becomes fully involved in raising the sails, steering the yacht and working on the foredeck.Throughout the day a professional crew will be on hand to ensure everyone gets the most out of their day. With a choice of vessels, this gift offers the recipient the option to sail on Whitbread 60 Blueprint midweek or Clipper 60 Taeping at weekends.\n\nItinerary: \n\nThe crew meet at 10am in the marina for a cup of tea or coffee and safety brief about the boat. Then head up Southampton Water into the open area of the Solent. This trip runs from 10am to 4pm on selected Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays aboard Whitbread 60 Blueprint and selected Saturdays and Sundays aboard Clipper 60, Taeping, from April to September. You are welcome to sit back and enjoy the ride or take part in the sailing which will involve taking the helm, hoisting and trimming sails. Lunch is provided onboard, before returning to Ocean Village for about 3.30pm. \n\nLocation: \n\nHampshire (South East).\n\nKey information: \n\nOn purchasing this experience you will be sent an open dated gift voucher valid for ten months. \nThis experience is suitable for people over the age of 12. \nAnyone aged 12 to 17 must be accompanied by a full paying parent or guardian. \nTo avoid disappointment please ensure you give at least four weeks notice to secure summer dates as this is a seasonal experience. \nThe skipper reserves the right to curtail the experience on safety grounds if the weather becomes severe. \nIn the event that weather prevents the experience from taking place your date will be rescheduled. \nThis experience is not suitable for those who suffer from seasickness. | ||
