| Experience one of the most glamorous watersports in the world. \n\nPlaning across the water in a powerful craft is sheer exhilaration. After a few hours, you might just feel like one of the international jet set! This full day programme will leave you breathless with excitement. Here is your unique chance to race single-seater monohulls, catamarans and hydroplanes. Nothing else gives you such a feeling of mastery over the water. \n\nThis is a great opportunity to learn straight from the experts how to drive three types of race boat, hydroplanes, catamarans and monohulls. In the hydroplanes you either kneel or lie flat on your stomach. The day will start at 9:00 with registration and tea and coffee. At 09.30 you will be officially welcomed, given a drivers briefing and introduction to the sport. Between 10:00 and 11:00 there will be an introduction to the boats, followed by practice driving until a buffet lunch at 1:00pm. From 2:00 - 5:00pm you will have practical race training, ending with afternoon tea, presentation of certificates and a memento of the day. During the day you are likely to do a total of 20+ laps, with each lap being just under a mile in length so you will cover quite a distance! \n\nWhen can you go?\n\nSelected limited Monday to Saturday dates, April to October. \n\nDuration\n\nYour total experience will last approximately 7 hours.\n\nKey information\n\nYou must be at least 14 years old; under 18's require parental consent. The maximum age is 70 years.\nParticipants should be reasonably fit and able to get in and out of a boat unaided. The maximum weight is 114kg (18 stone); the minimum height is 1.57m (5ft 2') and the maximum height is 1.87m (6ft 2'). The maximum girth size is 142cm (56'). \nThere is a strict policy to nil tolerance to alcohol and drugs. | There are few experiences that can match powerboating for sheer exhilaration, and this Zapcat experience is sure to knock your socks off. You will take a seat in a race-ready Zapcat capable of pulling in excess of 2G in a turn, with a power to weight ratio of 340 bhp per tonne. The acceleration is unlike anything you will have experienced so prepare to hold on for the ride of your life! \n\nItinerary:\n\nOn arrival at the marina you will have a safety briefing, before taking to the water. All equipment will be provided. This experience will include around two hours on the water in a Zapcat and also a 225hp RIB. In total the experience will last between two and three hours depending on location. \n\nLocation:\n\nSouthampton (South), Helensburgh, Brighton (South East).\n\nKey information:\n\nOn purchasing this experience you will be issued with a voucher valid for ten months. \nYou are then free to book a day for your experience. This experience takes place on selected Saturdays and Sundays; throughout the year in Southampton and from March-October in Brighton. \nThere will be up to 11 other participants on this experience with you. \nDry suits, wet suits and boots are provided. \nShowers and changing facilities are available. \nPlease note that the premises are shared with other marina users. \nMinimum age is 16 years old, under 18s require parental consent. \nMaximum weight is 127kg (20 stone).
