Why do we give gifts? We give presents to show that we’re thinking of
the recipient and to show we care. We give gifts to people we love, friends
and acquaintances.
Giving gifts is traditional at Christmas, Birthdays, Anniversaries, Moving House,
Engagements, Weddings, and many other celebrations.
Sometimes we’re forced into giving gifts – the “secret Santa” that lots of offices run at Christmas is a scheme by which everyone’s name is put into the hat and people pick out a name and they have to buy a present for that person. There is normally a limit on the cost of the gift – usually £5. This is a useful thing for big offices were people might get pressured otherwise into buying expensive gifts for everyone at their office.
When you're on a budget but still have to buy presents it'd be handy to know the places that give you a choice of buying by price.
Instead of struggling to find gifts under £10 or £20 you'll find a huge choice of options at these recommended retailers you give you the option of searching or browsing by price
For gifts for birthdays, all year round celebrations and anniversaries as well as special occaisions like Mother's Day, Easter and Father's Day this gift shop list helps you track down cheap presents.

What would your ideal gift be? Mine would be a pampering day and lots of chocolates! mmm, Let's add in a bottle of champagne too!
What should you buy someone? This is the hardest question that you might have to answer. You can usually find something appropriate by knowing the things that the person likes, enjoys and any hobbies they have. If you ever have a good idea for a present for someone then make a note of it. If you see something that you think someone you know would like then buy it and put it aside for their birthday or Christmas present. Organised people often keep a box of presents they’ve bought in advance.
If someone loves cars then you might consider buying them something for their
car. Whether you bought something sensible or a novelty item like furry dice
would depend on other aspects of the person’s personality. Practical gifts
for the car lover could be: paying for the car to be detailed; buying a new
set of tyres; car seat covers; money towards a service or MOT; buying some accessories
or go-faster stripes.
More fun car related gifts are those wonderful driving day experiences that
involve driving fast and fabulous cars around racing circuits. These are available
all around the country and there are many different cars available to pick from
including Ferraris, racing cars and even tanks! For junior car lovers there
are car-driving experiences too.
Giving money as a gift isn’t usually done unless it’s with family who’ve often run out of gift ideas by the time you get to 18 let alone 30. It does make a great deal of sense to give cash to someone who has been saving up towards a specific goal for some time. Don’t send cash through the post!
It's entirely up to you. You should obviously stay within any budgets you've got. Don't spend over your limit.
