Quick idea: Get a piece of a4 paper and fold in half and then half again making a card - draw some flowers on it and write inside "Anyone can buy a card but it takes real love to make one"
Everyone loves getting cards on their birthday - there's something special about getting cards through the post - when the postman knows its your birthday because he's dropped a handful of cards through the door.
